Dear friends, colleagues and partners,

Last week the Jewish people celebrated their New Year (Rosh HaShana) and yesterday they observed Yom Kippur. This is a special time for the Jewish people of reflection and meditation on the past year, confession of past sins, and the making of new plans for the coming year.

We Christians should intercede on behalf of the Jewish people. The prophet Daniel is an example. He understood that the end of the 70 years spoken of by the Lord through prophet Jeremiah was approaching, when He would rebuild Jerusalem. Daniel knew that this required confession for past sins. We too understand that a new season is at hand, and that the Lord is rebuilding Jerusalem. Let us, like Daniel, make confession before the Lord in prayer and fasting, for the sins of our forefathers. We can be confident that He will have mercy, that He will hear our prayers and forgive, and fulfil His word in our days.

“Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors, and to all the people of the land…. Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act! For your sake, my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name." (Daniel 9)

Yours faithfully,The C4I International team

“If any nation does not listen, I will completely uproot and destroy it” – Editorial Israel & Christians Today

Since the so-called “Arab Spring” broke out in 2010, the Middle East has been thrown in utter chaos, and with it, the rest of the world. Recent months have witnessed a growing flood of refugees fleeing violence, war and terror in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Eritrea and many other countries. Europe is now confronted with what some describe as the greatest demographic upheaval since WWII.

Krimki village - Aliyah Update from Ukraine

Quite recently we began taking care of Jewish refugees from the East now living in a school in Krimki village, which is located in the Cherkasy region, see map below. The village is 200 kilometers to the south east from Kiev. It’s difficult for Jewish refugees to get to the capital of Cherkasy, located on the right bank of Dnieper River, to process necessary papers and pass consular checks – there are a lot of children and elderly people amongst them.

The international version of the Israel & Christians Today newspaper of August 2015 has been released. The main purpose of Israel & Christians Today is to explore the relationship between the Church, the nations and Israel (the Jewish people) from a Biblical perspective. The newspaper takes the position that God is faithful to His promises and that the restoration of the nation of Israel in our generation is a sign of Hope for the Church of the Coming of the Lord. Our message is intended for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to discover God's promises for the Jewish people and the Church and the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy of which we are called to be part.
