Dear friends and partners,

It is a pleasure to send you an update about the Christians for Israel International ministry.

In August again many important developments and events took place around the world affecting Israel. On August 26 an open-ended ceasefire was announced in the 2014 Israel-Gaza conflict after Israel launched Operation Protective Edge on July 8. During the 50-day war 70 people were killed on the Israeli side, including 64 soldiers. Gaza health officials said more than 2,100 people were killed in the Strip in the fighting and many thousands more were wounded. Causing serious hardship on both sides. The kidnapping and murder of the three Israeli teenagers in the Westbank led to the discovery of some 80 tunnels from Gaza (and Lebanon) into Israel. At the same time we saw tension building up as a result of ISIS’s continuing barbaric campaign of death in Iraq, Iran sharpening its rhetoric against Israel and the PA's expected call on the 193-member body of the UN General Assembly to demand Israel to withdraw from the West Bank and return to the pre-1967 lines within three years. By no means a quiet vacation period!

The Global Prayer Call campaign and GPC Conferences in Krakow and Jerusalem are important events for Israel and our own nations with regard to the GPC vision.

Rev Willem Glashouwer recently returned from a very blessed yourney and visit to South America, Paraguay in order to strengthen the work of Ebenezer Emergency Fund foundations with Churches and to teach in German to the Mennonite communities proper understanding of the Scriptures who were struggling with Replacement Theology.

In this edition of the Messenger you will get a taste of the many activities and programs around the world that Christians for Israel is involved in. We encourage you to take the time to read the reports and contributions from all over the world and pray for all the developments in Israel and around the world.

Thank you for your ongoing support and interest. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to be involved in the growing Christians for Israel movement.

May the Lord continue to protect His people Israel, and prepare us all for the Coming of Messiah.

Team C4I International

In this edition:

GPC-Conference in Krakow, Poland

On January 27, 2015, we, a representation of the praying and repentant church in Europe, invite praying Christians around the world to join us in crying out to the Lord, the God of Israel, in the spirit of Daniel chapter 9. May we together confess and repent of the sins of our fathers! May we turn from our evil ways, past and present! May we learn from history and nurture a warm, loving and compassionate heart toward the Jewish people in light of what they have had to suffer!

Rev. Willem Glashouwer visited Paraguay from August 11 - 25, 2014 for strengthening the work of EEF foundations with Churches and to teach in German to the Mennonite communities proper understanding of the Scriptures who were struggling with Replacement Theology. Encouraging report from Nigeria

Bishop Elemi Samson from Nigeria sent us the following report about GPC in Nigeria. For the GPC and the meetings in Nigeria, we have made tremendous progress. Many people are aware of the GPC and are continuously praying for Israel. Church leaders want to know if after the GPC meetings in Poland and Israel, if there would be a continuity for the following years. Pastor Rex is doing a good job in Lagos as more church leaders are itching to know more about the GPC and C4I within Lagos.

Christians for Israel International Annual Report 2013

Dear friends, We are living in momentous days. The Jewish people are coming home to the land. Collapse of the Israel/Palestinian peace talks. The nations of the world in conflict. Rise of extreme Islam. Demise of the US and rise of other global superpowers. Financial, environmental and energy crises, confusion in Europe. Rise of humanist secularism, and collapse of institutional churches. The Gospel of the Kingdom being preached in many nations and languages. Jesus said – learn the lesson of the fig tree. Heed the signs of His coming. Keep watch and pray. The core mission of Christians for Israel is to raise awareness in the Church about God’s purposes with Israel and the Jewish people, and the implications of this for Israel, the Church and the nations. We seek to do this primarily by training and equipping speakers and communicators, and through the media.

New group of Bnei Menashe visits Western Wall in Jerusalem

Yesterday, we brought the 250 Bnei Menashe immigrants who made Aliyah in June 2014 with your help to the Western Wall in Jerusalem for the first time. It was an incredibly powerful and moving experience and I cannot begin to describe their reaction as they approached the sacred stones in silent contemplation, tears running down many cheeks as they closed their eyes and offered prayers to G-d.

Israel & Christians Today Int. Version, August 2014 Published

The international version of the Israel & Christians Today newspaper of August 2014 has been released. The main purpose of Israel & Christians Today is to explore the relationship between the Church, the nations and Israel (the Jewish people) from a Biblical perspective. The newspaper takes the position that God is faithful to His promises and that the restoration of the nation of Israel in our generation is a sign of Hope for the Church of the Coming of the Lord. Our message is intended for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to discover God's promises for the Jewish people and the Church and the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy of which we are called to be part.
