C4I gathers momentum in West and Central Africa

Willem Glashouwer, Jos van Westing and I returned last Monday from a wonderful and exhausting week in Nigeria, where we participated in the inaugural C4I West/Central Africa Regional Training and Leadership Conference. We praise God that He is raising a new generation of Christian leaders in Western/Central Africa, who are called and committed to stand in the gap for Israel and the Jewish people. The three-day conference was held in the city of Ikom, which is about 200km north of Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, and very close to the Border between Nigeria and Cameroon. Read more

Support the aliyah of the Bnei Menashe!

Bring the Jews Home

The Israeli cabinet has finally decided to give the green light to the return of the Bnei Menashe Jews. The Bnei Menashe (sons of Manasseh) claim descent from one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel, who were sent into exile by the Assyrian Empire more than 27 centuries ago. Their ancestors wandered through Central Asia and the Far East for centuries, before settling in what is now northeastern India, along the border with Burma and Bangladesh. Throughout their sojourn in exile, the Bnei Menashe continued to practice Judaism just as their ancestors did, including observing the Sabbath, keeping kosher, celebrating the festivals and following the laws of family purity. And they continued nourish the dream of one day returning to the land of their ancestors, the Land of Israel. Read more

Astonishingly open doors in East Africa

By Harald Eckert

I have just returned from four extraordinary days in Uganda, East Africa, in which we experienced great favour and a level of dynamic that I previously had only seldom known. We, that is Willem Glashouwer (President of Christians for Israel International – C4II), Andrew Tucker (Executive Director, C4II) and myself, (Chairman of C4II since 16.09.2012).

After flying all night, we finally got to bed at around 5.00 a.m. The telephone rang at 8.00 a.m. It was Drake Kanaabo, C4II board member and coordinator for East Africa: We were to get ready quickly. Our meeting for the morning was with the Speaker of Parliament of Uganda, the 3rd highest person in the country. Read more

Opening Holocaust Memorial in the Ukraine

On Friday September 28, we officially openend a Holocaust Memorial at a Jewish massgrave that was discovered in 2010. On this site approximately 1,000 Romanian Jews were killed near a small Oekrainian village in the proximity of the Moldovan border. During the opening of the memorial six Holocaust survivors, Rabbi Shaul, the mayor of the city Mogolov-Podolsky, schoolchildren, and we as representatives of C4I Ukraine were present. Read more

Prayer Letter November/December 2012

“The source which we pray from is very important,” Ofer Amitay said a few years ago at a conference in the Netherlands. Next he spoke of unity, of sanctification, of consecration, of listening to God. And he continued:”Real intercession springs from a relationship rather than from information.” At the beginning of last year many intercessors felt the commission to be continually vigilant : “Be on guard! Be alert!” (Mark 13:33) “What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!”(Mark 13:37) Jesus says this in His ‘Discourse on the last days’. Go to prayer letter
