C4I Hungary has a new team

The C4I ministry in Hungary is in a phase of transition and growth. Kata Tar has announced that she will be leaving her role as C4I national coordinator to take up a position as leader of another ministry in Hungary. Kata has been the motor behind the establishment of C4I in Hungary. We thank Kata for all the work she has done to set up C4I in Hungary, and wish her every blessing in her new role.

we are delighted that a strong, talented and united C4I working group has been formed to take over the reigns and take the ministry to the next level. The members of the team are: Bojtos Tamás, Fenyvesi Kriszta, Regyelik Anita, Bíró Emilia, Nyerges Edit and Musimbe Zsuzsa. Kata is active in leadership until the middle of August.

Regular prayer and leadership meetings are being held, and prayer letters are sent out. They are in the process of registration in Hungary.

The main focus in the coming period will be on teaching and education programs. Planned initiatives include:
• translation, production and publication of the Canadian-produced Why Israel? teaching series (DVDs and study guides) into Hungarian, to accompany the Why Israel? book which has already been published;
• development of a Hungarian language website; and
• a series of regional 1 day seminars throughout the country in late 2010.

On 8th May 2010 the first annual conference will be held of the newly established Hungarian Israel Forum. This Forum was recently established by 10 Christian ministries in Hungary which share a burden for raising awareness in the church in Hungary about God’s love and purposes for Israel, and for blessing the Jewish people in their hour of need.

It is taking place right after the parliamentary elections in April, which have brought a swing to the right – quite predictably, the prime minister will be the head of the conservative right party (FIDESZ) and the extreme right (JOBBIK).

The Hungarian Church is in the 12th hour to understand that unless they stand up against anti-Semitism and start actively bless the Jewish people and Israel, Hungary will be brought under God's curse (Genesis 12:2,3). This Forum is therefore very strategic and timely.

The initiative of establishing Israel Forum followed the conference organised by C4I in Hungary in May 2009, in partnership with the Hungarian Evangelical Alliance. Willem Glashouwer has been invited as guest of honour to open the 2010 conference. He will be speaking and teaching in several churches in Budapest from 8th – 11th May and one in the country in a town called Kisber at a Reformed church, where the majority of the members are openly anti-Semitic.

Please pray for this new team as they seek the Lord’s will for C4I in Hungary.
