Discussion on values for Europe’s future
Marie-Louise represented "Christians for Israel - Austria

On the 8th of April 2011, members of the "Together4 Europe - Austria" coalition (where Marie-Louise represents "Christians for Israel - Austria") invited Austrian members of the European Parliament to the " Haus der Europäischen Union" in Vienna.

Together with the Austrian representative of the European Commission, the three Parliamentarians, representing the main parties, answered questions asked by an audience of about 100 Austrian Christians from across the denominational spectrum.

Together with Bishop in re. Herwig Sturm, the previous bishop of the Protestant church in Austria, Marie-Louise acted as an "advocate to the audience", selecting and presenting the questions which arose during the meeting (see photo).

The representative of Together4Europe presented the main values, which Christians aim to live by and contribute to the continent, to the politicians and the participants. These are Reconciliation, Sincerity and Commitment. The representative of the socialist party added a fourth value: Solidarity. Christianity has a very privileged place in European society –the three deputies remarked – simultaneously affirming their belief in the secular assessment as well.

Together 4 Europe was founded in 1999 as an international network of Christian movements and communities, consisting of Protestant, Catholic, Anglican, Orthodox, Evangelical and Free-Church members.
This was the first meeting of its kind in Austria and was very positively seen by both politicians and Christians, the latter feeling motivated to let the Christain voice be heard in Europe.
